How It All Began

​What started off as just a mom wanting to feed her large, hungry family and love for cooking, turned into a family business serving friends, family and community.

MuvasMumbo, LLC is a minority family-owned business located in the heart of Winchester, VA in the Shenandoah Valley.

MuvasMumbo, LLC is owned and operated by Luquesua Thompson.  Luquesua was born and raised in Washington, D.C. She moved with her family to Winchester, in 2011. She found it difficult to find the real mambo sauce flavor she grew up loving. After many practice batches she developed her signature sauce with the right mix of spices that brought back childhood memories to her wings, fries, steaks and more. Luquesua began to make her mambo sauce regularly in her own kitchen for her family even sharing with neighbors and friends giving them a real taste of D.C.

​After perfecting her mambo sauce God gave Luquesua the vision to market, and sell her creation with the world. That vision became a reality in 2019 when MuvasMumbo, LLC was born.
